Visit the Educator Resources page for activities and resources to complement your museum field trip or classroom instruction.
Visit the Student and Family Resources page for videos, FAQs, research resources and more.
Please review all visitor policies at the bottom of our Visit page with your students.
Arrive on-time. We recommend arriving 10 minutes early to be sure to get started with your program on time. Late arrival may result in abridged programming.
Bus drop off is available outside the Museum, but not parking for the duration of the program.
Photo Release Form Instructions:
Please note:
Completing the photo release form is not required for students to attend the program. We can be sure to avoid photographing any students who do not have signed forms.
We do not have a lunch facility and encourage guests not to bring food or drink into the Museum.
However, if you need to bring student lunches, they can be stored with student backpacks and/or coats and picked up again at the end of the program. Freeman Plaza East is one block away from the Museum and Hudson River Greenway is a 10 minute walk from the Museum.
We do not budget time for gift shop browsing in your program time. If you would like to provide an opportunity for students to purchase a souvenir, we recommend doing so online at Shop42.org.
If you would like to allow students to visit the store following the program, teachers and chaperones will be responsible for student supervision and depending on your group size, you may be asked to divide into smaller groups as space in the shop is limited. Please let our staff know in advance if you would like to do so.
